This website is a resource for so many topics and grade levels. Students in Kinder through middle school will enjoy the animation and humor. The videos , such as the ones on China, the Silk Road, the Great Wall, etc. are presented in a short 2-3 minute video. Then there is an optional quiz, activities, games, and worksheets that can be printed out. Depending on the depth the teacher wants to get into will determine which features to use.
For example, in Brainpop, we saw the video on the Silk Road. There is an optional worksheet that can be printed or projected with vocabulary from the video for students to discuss. There is of course the quiz, an FYI section with more information about the locations of the Silk Road, and a Q&A section where students can pose questions and the teacher will receive an e-mail answer within a few days.
