This is a very interesting website! Thank you for sharing it, cescobar. I like that a lot of the stories are very short but leave the reader thinking. I think this would be really good to use in an upper elementary or even middle school class. It'd be a great way to introduce Chinese thought and beliefs. I'd put it up for the students to read, have them reflect on it, and then discuss the story. It would really help expand their critical thinking skills.

Thank you for sharing this great site Ms. Escobar. I found some of the stories simple, but powerful. I would use them in my classroom to have students analyze them and come up with the moral of the story. I was particularly fond of the following story for its simplicity yet powerful:
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder On the way to Song, Yang meets a man at the town of Ni, who has two wives. One is pretty and the other plain. Yet he favors the plain wife. So Yang asks he why?
The man answers:
"The pretty one knows she is pretty. I don't.
The plain one knows she is plain. I don't.
A bad person knows he is bad. I don't."
Yang says:
"I shall remember the lesson.
The Saint behaves as a Saint, by his own volition."
