I am searching for lesson plan ideas. Is there a particular place in this forum that we should be posting?

Hey Steve, I was thinking about doing the same thing, but instead, I think I want to focus on ecology. Perhaps a lesson on the problems that China is having with it's polluted air and water ways and lack of fresh water. I am searching for the best place to post.

You seem to be the expert in the class on the animie. I would think you could find a series of films. One that emphasizes each of the philosophies and build a lesson plan around each. Go for it. Now help me.

I would like to create a lesson plan that discusses major Asian ideologies. One thing that seems to be universally true throughout Asia is that people rarely follow just one ideology. Most of the time, asian men and women show loyalty to different ideologies depending on the situation.

This same phenomenon can be found in Asian movies - especially anime. I realized this when I was discussing the movie "Princess Mononoke" with a colleague. I could not decide which line of thought the movie followed. I quickly realized that it mixed and matched them all.

My basic idea is to have students watch an anime movie and discuss the different asian ideologies that are found in the film. I would like to assign short homework assignment and then have some sort of class discussion or debate on our finding. MY STRUGGLE LIES IN FINDING A FUN AND ENGAGING WAY TO DO THIS. I would appreciate any ideas you all have for this! Thank you!
