Once something is created it is hard to uncreate it. This will probably be true with China's Internet. I'm sure there are many tech sauvy computer geeks in both China and the U.S. that want the internet to be reconnected. Where there is a will there's a way and I'm certain they will find it.
Just read an article about the use of the Internet in China. Apparently, up until recently, it was not very difficult to access web sources outside of China. It required a few extra steps to get around what they call the "Great Firewall" but now with the new president set to take office, they are cracking down on this loophole. Some websites have already been blocked no matter what methods are tried. I wonder if our students know how great they have it in the U.S.?
