    I am drawn to the Visualizing Cultures – Image-Driven Scholarship. As a teacher for students with learning disabilities, I see students cut off from academic pursuits due to their inability to read. Images truly are worth a 1000 words. The ideas are what we are after and images spark the imagination and rally around the human experience.
