At the end of the second paragraph, the author worte:" On the night of a large earthquake that hits Taiwan, they consummate their love affair." According to the context of that paragraph, the "they" obviously meant by the author as Jade (Rainie Yang) and Takeko (Isabella Leong). However, this is not the case in the film.
If you have the chance to see the film, you will know that the two girls who consummate their love affair are Takeko and her classmate, not Jade.
