GuestVenus, you devil! How were you ever able to keep from telling us how nice our accommodations would be at Sun Moon Lake?! I had really been looking forward to rooming with Dylis (and sad to be leaving Aileen), so in a way I was a bit let-down when I saw we would have our own rooms in Taiwan. Oh, but I got over it when I saw the lovely room that was mine all mine!
I liked going on our little lake voyage to shop and drink boba. I have to say, I think I have become almost as addicted to boba as to Coke Zero. Problem is, no decent boba in Ventura County. No black duck either, which I am sure upsets my friend Dylis immensely. Perhaps Eddie or Clay knows where she can pick up a claw or two.

GuestSun Moon Lake was so beautiful. I wish that we could have stayed longer to explore! Thank you so much for the lovely boat ride. I was so impressed with the room that I took tons of pictures and video of it. Here's a picture looking out my room window and of us enjoying the boat. How often do you see someone fishing with a net from your hotel room window? In the words of Ben, "Amazing!"

SpectatorHi folks,
I thought you might be interested in a short article on MediaTek, one of those unknown but highly influential giant tech firms that we saw when we visited the tech park outside of Taipei.September 25, 2013 at 12:23 pm #22096Anonymous
GuestAnother incredible day in Taiwan! The science and technology center was impressive. Once again, it was striking to see how Taiwan is actively courting the high-tech industries.
Even the train ride was great. If only we had decent trains in LA... This was the day I saw and fell in love with the adorable High Speed Rail train character goods & started the trend to buy them as souvenirs.
As for Sun Moon Lake, what can I say? It was incredible. From the gorgeous rooms to the breathtaking views to the lovely walk some of the ladies took around the shoreline... it was wonderful. It seemed like we were in an infomercial for honeymoons in Taiwan. Every one of us hoped we'd someday be able to return.
