I am in awe. Brian Hu talked about Hong Kong using film to prove that they are cosmopolitan and that they can look like the "west" and move like the "west" - I guess I keep wondering about trying to prove that you can be so much like other countries that you lose yourself, your culture and identity. On the other hand, this movie TOTALLY breaks down any stereotypical ideas that I had about Hong Kong, the culture, and the cinema....
