GuestHere is my unit, ready for review. Since this is intended to be a school counselor presentation, the lessons are designed for small groups rather than an academic classroom. But it could be easily modified to use in a classroom setting.

GuestMy poetry lesson will focus on three poets: Byron, Keats, Juan Chi and Pao Chao. The first lesson can be completed in one period, but the following lessons must be completed over a few days; computers will be needed for the last lesson.

GuestMy lesson also focuses on poetry, specifically the sonnet form. The first lesson reviews the English sonnet, then the second lesson focuses on the Italian sonnet, and the subsequent lessons focus on the Chinese sonnet form. I provide several examples of each sonnet in the lesson.

GuestThis is my lesson for my junior high students, that will be used as a followup on the Constitution. I wanted to compare Korea with the United States. I used the "Ten most important things about Korea" power point as a spring board for discussion, presentations by the students, and evaluation.

GuestHere are Matthew Diaz's action-packed lessons. The three lessons that specifically deal with issues in China. It's a section from a larger unit on "Globally Important Resources." The unit is focused on Expository. Looking forward to feedback. I've attached the urls for the articles used in the lessons. If they don't work, I can scan in the articles from the printed versions I have. Can't wait to hear from my reviewers!

I may end up adding a video file of teaching these lessons later. As soon as school starts, I'll be starting with the first lesson in the series.

GuestThese are three seventh grade social studies lessons that I am hoping will help my students to understand cultural development. I want them to identify characteristics of earlier phases of Japan's cultural growth within in the military society that came to dominate Japan. This unit incorporates many experiential activities to help students apply the concepts that they are expected to learn.
**This is only the .docx write up of the lesson plans...the full PDF version that includes my lesson presentations and resources would not post. Will try later. If it doesnt work, I can email it to my group members or anyone else interested.
