I had the chance to review your lesson project. A well detailed lesson with clear objectives. The Personal Experiences questions under the "Activating Prior Knowledge/Building Background section sound very effective, and the students will respond well to them. If you have objectives of introducing/using primary sources, I think you can tie in the use of the 1951 MacArthur speech to those objectives. Also, it would be helpful for the students if the Guided Practice and/or Independent Practice includes question prompts that ask the students if they think Truman was wrong or right when he dismissed MacArthur; this could be tied in to the discussion on Truman's decision regarding the war in Korea. Again, overall, a good lesson which is appropriate for students who are ESL 1B/2A, BB, and FBB level(s)
