China shines with India in diamonds - part 2

China and India together have become the second largest consumer of diamonds, reported the weekly India Today on 16 July 2012. China's domestic market recorded 13% growth in 2011-12, according to the magazine which is kind of India's version of Time. China and India now have a 24% share of the world market. Global diamond giant De Beers has already forecast that by 2020, the two countries will surpass the US, the world's biggest consumer with 40% market share.
