With the World Cup just around the corner, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the fact that North Korea is playing. Fantastic! They are not projected to go far, but I am more interested in the story of the team. Where do these guys play? I was not aware that North Korea had a soccer league that can churn out players of a caliber that could qualify them for the World Cup. One of their stars actually plays in Japan. How does THAT work?

Wow, how interesting. I didn't know North Korea had a team either. I wonder if their star player has caused feelings of animosity by playing for Japan. Knowing the history of Japans dominance over Korea makes me wonder how this came about. Why would he play for Japan? Was it a issue of money? This is so fascinating, I'll have to stay tuned to see what happens.
