This year was the first year the Rose Parade was broadcast into China. The Chinese-themed floats won several awards. Anyone know if the Rose Parade was broadcast in China unedited and/or uncensored? I would be interested to see if there was any part of the parade the Chinese govt felt was "inappropriate".

Interesting to see how China continues to profit big time from the Olympics and takes advantage of the international image they earned.
And at the same time keeps the anger alive in those that opposed its ways here in US.

I can see why the chinese would be interested in the Rose Parade, because they love flowers, and they love the art of putting something together like that. With the Chinese effort in the Olympics, you can see that they would appreciate the work and the artistry that goes into something like this parade. It is somethig that we can all be proud of, here in Los Angeles( oops, I should say Pasadena ! )

The Shanghai World Expo Float named "Moving Great Wall" was sponsored by the local Chinese Community of Southern California. They made this one, the biggest participation of Chinese Floats in this event's history to enhance the Chinese presence in this outstanding Rose Parade year 2010.

I'm looking back on my photos of the Rose Parade from this year and last and I'm surprised to see the diverse groups (ethnic and cultural) represented in our Rose Parade.

This past year not only did I see US history represented through the last several hundred years, I saw Brazil, Mexico, China, and Japan represented in the floats, dancers and musicians in the parade.

I'm wondering if anyone was able to get information about the Rose Bowl Parade broadcasted in China. I have not checked Youtube or other venues of internet media yet but if anyone has information about the censorship nature of this event, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
