I have come across more good books for low readers. The titles and authors are:
    1. A Year Without Rain by Evelyn Stone. It is a short read about the year 723, a year without rain in the T'ang Dynasty. It is very short and the pictures are beautiful.
    2. The Eagle and the Moon Gold, a fable from the Hmong people, adapted by Yeemay Chan.

Both of the above titles are published by Hampton Brown and can be ordered by calling 800-333-3510.

The books are good for ESL students, elem. school students, or Special Ed. students.

    I hope this is helpful.
