    The annual Torrance Bunka-Sai is coming this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27th. I will bring flyers to class on Monday, April 21st. The event is a fundraiser for the very successful Torrance Sister City Student Exchange program in which 8 students from Torrance are selected to visit Kashiwa (just outside of Tokyo) for 3 weeks each summer and 8 students from Kashiwa visit Torrance. There will be exhibits, cultural performances, and food booths starting from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. both days. If you or someone you know is interested in learning Japanese dance, there is a free 4 lesson promotional, so come by on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to see the dance group that is offering this promotional.     I am so sorry, but I forgot to pick up the flier on my way out of class on Monday. Is there a file you could post of the event so that I can post it for my students? If it isn't a lot of work, I'd appreciate it, or I can just write the information on the board.
    We have a large Japanese population at Montemalaga and I know some families would be interested. Also, are you affiliated with this group and if so, do you have information on hosting the students? I finally have an extra bedroom and bathroom and think it would be a wonderful experience to share our culture and learn about theirs first hand. Thanks!!
