My final website review will be on a page that is part of PBS's Nova series on Secrets of Lost Empires. This website, and accompanying video are part of a study on China's age of invention. The website offers an overview of the topics presented in one particular video in the larger series. I think it would be greatto get a copy of this video because it will really make the inventions more real and tangible to students if shown in concert with experiential excercises where students engage the discussed technologies. Most of these technologies could be replicated or examined in class--although I'd love to hear other's ideas on incoorporating or demonstrating gun powder--I doubt we can use fireworks at school even for demonstration purposes. Aside from showing students the inventions in the video, the website offeres great content information if regard to China's age od Invention and Discovery under the Tang and Song.

    web address is:

    Enjoy

I have my own website that is dedicated to history, travel, and teaching. It's geared towards both the person that has a general interest in those subjects as well as a person that wants specific and unique information. I'm currently working on a duplicate of the page that will be geared to my students. It has information about many countries such as Russia, Greece, Egypt, France, and Vietnam etc. It also has alot of photographs as well as printed info.

    It's called The HistoryTraveler.
    Find it at http://www.geocities.com/historytraveler
