Another interesting article in the Sunday LA times about a 29 year-old parapalegic girl in China who wants the right to die before her body degenerates more, leaving her totally incapacitated. No one has offically written a proposal to the Republic of China asking to legalize euthanasia, but a poll taken showed a 90% approval rate of it. Do you think that the Chinese would approve of such a law? The article claimed that a doctor was sued for lethally injecting a terminally ill cancer patient. In a country with quick capital punishment, abortion, etc, why not humanely kill those who want it?

Here's the url for the article...

Euthanasia makes a lot of sense to me. In a country that has an over population problem and where there is really no religion to speak of, one would think that the idea of Euthansia could become very popular. Being that there are so may more males than females in China, for starters, maybe they can have be legal just for men. (Sorry for the digression, I was just thinking out loud)
