    For those who missed the Conference, it was quite enlightening and newsworthy. The scale of China is astounding. If California was a Province it would be only seventeenth in population. I thought China had a larger land mass than the U.S. but the mass is similiar in size. However , China has 1.3 Billion people and we have approximately 250 Million. The social and enconomic consequences are profound. Even with this population we are leading in carbon emissions but China is gaining quickly. Of course, not a record we should be proud of......

    I'm sure China will soon surpass us in carbon emissions. To my knowledge, they are not all that concerned about pollution. I think they ae more concerned with catching up with and surpassing the U.S. in GNP.
