Planning a trip to the Japanese American Museum on East First Street in downtown Los Angeles is very easy. The phone number is : 213.830.5601. This museum welcomes guests and we do all they can to answer any questions one might have about Japanese History .
The mission of the Museum is to promote understanding and appreciation of America's ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the Japanese American experience. They wish for others to explore their family history as they observe their forum for Japanese people. They also hope that being there looking at all the historical information that is exhibited in a realistic original manner will help to strengthen our communities and increase a respect for all people.
The tour is very emotional and there is a docent who actually experienced some of the things one will see. They will tell how they actually felt going through the actual experiences that are there. [Edit by="sshorter on Jan 11, 11:41:28 PM"][/Edit]
