I was so surprised to turn my TV on to channel 18 (Japanese TV). As I turned to this station there was a Japanese commentator asking questions to a couple on his show. The persons on the show were all Japanese. I thought that I show probably watch this show to see what would happen. Well, it turned out to be quite enjoyable, and I could understand the english that they spoke.
The show was about Dan Ho, the Japanese commentator, asking questions to this couple. He said that his goal was to make people eat better and then get together as a couple. Included in this plan of Dan's is to not only make couples eat and exercise to become more healthier, but help these couples find a way to get married.
Dan was very heavy once, and pass-out because of this. Now, he is trying to help others eat right, and then get married. He comes up with all kinds of ideas to help these couples convince their parents, and themselves that they are to marry each other.
Dan also takes his couples to interesting places such as a park and uses park equipment such as calling a "Jungle Gym" at the park his Jungle Gym. There are explanations on how to use the parks equipment to get the desired effect wanted to lose weight on different parts of the body.
Part of this training of couples is to show them that they may eat nutrious meals that will allow one to lose weight. He says that there are "trigger point" on the body that can cause toxens to leave the body through a simple massage. (sounds great!)
There is an oriental cook that prepares a vegetarian meal, and when the parents of the guy come to meet the prospective bride, they are made to believe that the woman prepared the meal for them. The idea is to prove that the woman could prepare a good meal without meat and and making the parents believe she cooked and prepared everything. Dan told the woman how to decorate her house and dinner table.
This was a surprise to me to see that there was a Japanese show were one could get ideas on how to not only entertain the parents of a person you wanted to marry, but part of this was setting up massages with your husband or wife to be, decorations, and entertainment ideas that would please one's future Inlaws.
The show ended with everyone quite happy. Not only was the vegetarian food good to everyone , but the Inlaws were not vegetarians. The father was up-set before the show, knowing that his son might marry a woman who was a vegetarian, but after the show, he was not upset at all, just pleased.
