There was a time when cold -war was a hot word. Group of People were busy in making strategies.Basically it was the two big powers involved in such games but in the changed scenario that became the past.I donot understand why two KOREAS are still carrying away with this when they know that in this challenging world they should focus their energies in right direction. The two Koreas have still lot problems to take care of.Famine ,war ,death are all attacking koreas .North Korea is going to be a nuclear power ,while South Korea with Usa & Japan is going for war.why this is happening ?Why donot they talk & resolve their issues ?is there any body who would like to suggest these conties to work for construction?

Many say the Cold War never really ended in East Asia and I think there is some truth to this. What I find most interesting is the idea that many in East Asia actually want the US to maintain a military presence in the area to keep the peace. I have heard it suggested that China and even North Korea might not really want a full US military withdrawl that would leave Japan scared for its own security and free to take what ever action it wanted. For example how long would it take Japan to develop nuclear weapons if the US security blanked were removed?
