Hello,

My name is Garret Tyau and I'll be teaching a high school history course this fall called World Cultures: Pacific Rim. I'm really excited and somewhat nervous because, despite being a teacher/administrator for over a decade, I've never taught high school history! I've grown fascinated by the subject and region (Pacific region in general) since I started prepping for the course; there's so much I didn't know despite being both from Hawaii and of Asian descent.
