- My name is Natalí and I have been a social science teacher for the past four years. This year, I will be teaching Spanish in Boyle Heights at Mendez High School. I have a love for empowering young people, social justice, learning, and traveling which makes teaching enjoyable and fulfilling. What brings me to this seminar is my interest in helping to transform my students into socially conscious global citizens. I have participated in the fall and spring seminar of the past year, and I am excited to be back to learn more about East Asia. I have also been lucky enough to do some traveling in Asia (twice in China, Japan, and India). I am excited to learn more about the region, and to connect with all of you.
