I appreciate the way that Prof. Dube took time to explain in detail what we would be working on throughout our time in these courses together. I found the first q&A session about our conceptions about East Asia a great place to start a discussion, one that would work beautifully with my students as well. It is a good way particularly for young students to assess their understanding of a topic, as their writing skills are not yet equal to their oral vocabulary.
I think that looking at maps and other visuals will also be items that I will include for my students.

I was looking back at one of the articles that is particularly poignant in my mind "Beneath Booming Cities, China's Future is Drying Up". The issue of water pollution, water usage, and populations surges are a huge concern for all nations.
If there is no water, there are no people. I have done a science lesson with my students to help them understand how 80% of our bodies are made of water. I am curious to learn more about how all of us will deal with the scarcity of this valuable resource, forget oil, water is where it is at!
