Master Kong had many important views, but I think that I will be stressing his philosophy of teaching by example. I will be looking over my notes again, but I believe that this was an example that was setup not only for the bulk of the social pyramid, but also for rulers as well. If the rulers were to set a good example, all his followers would follow suit. This sets things up for the 5 basic relationships that he talks about as well (husband & wife, brother & sister, etc). Let me know what you guys think and what approach you want to take.

Here is your moment of zen: "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself"

    P.S. FIRST!

I agree with you, since the basis of his thought was the "ideal" family, therefore a good example from the top down would be a good foundation. I just started reading this stuff, and to be honest I am very confused by it all, but I'll keep at it.

    Thanks for the 1st post!

I am teaching these ideas this week with my class and will have more ideas later in the week. I have begun reading some of the material but need to look at more of what we need to cover to see how best to divide it up. See you on Tuesday!
