There is an Anime exhibit at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It is running until Aug. 23rd. I plan going this week so I will let the forum know what I thought. This quote from the website I found particularly intriguing, given what we learned in our lecture on Japan, “A portion of the exhibition is devoted to manga and its relationship to anime, providing a historical overview of the development of this “comic book” genre from 19th century Japanese woodcuts and book illustrations to the mass-produced manga of the present.”
