Hello! I'm assigned to review your lesson! Regarding your lesson for Geography, I was initially concerned about the range of skill levels for which your lessons would be appropriate. Nevertheless, after reading the diversity of visuals, writing, and others aspects of your lesson, I feel that your 3-5 day lesson is appropriate for students of diverse backgrounds...honors, special ed, ELL, etc. The fact that you are using material from TCI/Geography Alive shows that a diverse background of learners will be reached from your lesson. Just a few detail oriented concerns of mine had to deal with the "Letter to Mao" activity. Will the letter be classwork to be done @ a computer lab or homework? If classwork, how much time will be allotted for the students to write the letter? If students don't finish, will they be allowed to take it home for homework as they did with the earlier vocabulary activity? Whether they take it home as homework or as classwork to finish at home, how many days will they be allowed to work on it?
Other than that, you have a clear lessons that is tied in well to your objectives and to the standards. Best of luck to you!! Mr. Gamboa, J.D.
