Found this really intriguing manga for teaching a new take on a traditional religious stance, Jesus Christ and Buddha. The manga is called "Saint Onisan" or "Saint Young Men" in English. It talks about how the two as roommates in present day Japan get along and resolve issues relating to their conceptions as religious icons and their own lives as people cramped into an apartment in Tokyo. I would like to see the two conceptions compared/contrasted in a classroom setting.

I've always wanted to use the Manga version of Julius Caesar to cover that topic. I got the idea from a 9th grade teacher using the manga version of Romeo and Juliet. The problem is of course getting copies for students.
