The site name is http://www.crystalinks.com/ This site seems to be a little out there when you look at the beginning. The site owner, Crystal, is a spiritualist of some sort. However, the section of the entitled, "Ancient and Lost Civilizations" is very extensive and well done. The index of that portion of the site was 12 pages downloaded. It covers all the different philosophies and their impact on China. Despite the basic theme of the site, the articles are extensive and well written. The ones I've read follow mainstream historical thought. Seems to be a great resource. I'm still investigating and am hoping to find some lesson plans, etc.
(Sorry, I'm not getting the computer to take the URL as a link)
I wasn't sure where to add this in the discussion forum, but I was scanning for coupons and came across this article about Jerry Moses. He was a Jewish kid that lived in Shangahai China as a refugee escaping Nazi occupied Germany.
I was intrigued, because I was unaware of Jewish refugees living in China. Perhaps someone can use this article in their class?
This was a LA Times Magazine article by, Adam Minter January 15, 2006

Once Clay showed us a historic picture which surprisingly had a persian miniature background.
Even more surprisingly, I have found a website belonging to a persian young lady who creates Japanese, Chinese as well as Persian miniatures. I found them fun to watch. The artist lives in England. Check out her website, you'll be amazed by the beauty of her work and how closely they resemle each other.

Reza, I posted this response on another thread too but I thought I'd try to reach you here as well.
"I don't know if you're tracking threads anymore but I really like your site as a good overview/ intro to the History book. It follows the summaries and lessons in order, but in a much more engaging way than worksheets.
My question is, is there anyway you can change the home page to not read "mainly for English learners"? I teach gifted honors and want to use the site but a funny thing happens when you give some gifted students "easy" assignments; they don't do as good a job. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Its all about perception with the kids."
Best Regards,
Felisa
Hi Felisa,
Thanks for the suggestion. Ofcourse it is possible.I just need a couple of days to finish my BTSA homework.
And, yes, I still follow and chck the forums. I just don't make as many comments as I used to.
I receive most of the forum comments through email(automatically). [Edit by="rrustamzadeh on Apr 30, 8:54:47 AM"][/Edit]
