An initiative of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University, Asia for Educators (AFE) is designed to serve faculty and students in world history, culture, geography, art, and literature at the undergraduate and pre-college levels.
This is the most comprehensive site that I have run across dealing with all things Asia.

This site covers all things Asia from the beginning of time to the present. It is very well laid out with a timeline at the top. Simply click on the time period tab and then tab for the Asian country you are interested in and it is full of useful information. There are printable maps, interactive maps, links to video lectures from Harvard. It covers much of the information that Clay covered in the seminar in great detail.
This could be used by students as a resource as well. Lesson plans could be written around this websites with links to pertinent information that we want students to find. For instance, I am looking at a page that asks and answers the question. What do we Mean by Modern? http://afe.easia.columbia.edu/chinawh/web/s2/index.html
I comes with lessons and study guides. http://afe.easia.columbia.edu/neh/course5/index.html
