The Resources section includes linked websites describing the origins, traditions, calendar, foods, celebration, and taboos and superstitions of the Chinese New Year. It also includes information on other Chinese holidays, clips of the Lion Dance and Dragon Parade, the origins and practice of many Chinese traditions (including ancestor worship and Chinese Valentine’s Day). The site is a bit dated, and some of the linked websites have expired, but overall, it is a helpful collection of resources on China for early education, full of pictures, video clips, and large, simple text.
