I know some of the lecturers gave book recommendations during their presentations, but can any of you recommend Asian or Asian American writers you really like?(Fiction or non-fiction)
I don't know if any of you have heard Helie Lee speak, and/or have read her books. She's a Korean American who immigrated from Korea as a child with her parents. She writes about cultural and generational differences, as well as how she and her family smuggled out several relatives from North Korea. She's entertaining and a very talented writer. Two of her books are "Still Life With Rice" and "In the Absence of Sun."
