I teach World History and I find BBC News website the most useful. It is handy for World History because it is student friendly and it offers the whole world. Students can gather valuable research data from this site. I have been using it since 1999 and I am quite familiar with how it works. I can easily help my students with any questions or issues they encounter from using the website. It contains highly impressive information for all countries and it is accessible with minimal manipulation by even the most technologically challenged.

BBC News is always the starting point and usually students are required to find additional sites which they have to get preapproval before using.

[Edited to make the name of the site the name of the post -- having used BBC News for 14 years, please suggest best uses, e.g., search approaches, particularly appropriate topics where the BBC has assembled useful resources on East Asia. Please also provide links to those resources.]

Amazingly, BBC website has some interesting Chinese lessons. I use them as examples to create my own lessons.
