Wow! The images on this site are cool, but stimulation overload. There is so much to look at that it's hard to pick one thing. I liked the map of China.

I was able to find the "Best Chinese Website" out there. There are alot of graphics on this page so it may be slow to load up for those with limited connection speeds. What immediately hits the viewer are the colors and visuals. This site can actually be very overwhelming. As one scrolls down, there is a map of China and all of its provinces. What is also interesting is the fact there there is a link to transform the site entirely into Chinese. What's nice about this website is the fact that it contains nearly everything one would need with regards to China. There are links to learn Mandarin as well as Cantonese, learn more about festivals, travel information, history, culture, art, and food. What is also nice is the quizzes that are offered to test if the user learned anything after reading up on the articles on the various links. Teachers will also find this website useful because of the fun activity classrooms links. The website is run by Jim Becker who is Professor Emeritus at the University Northern Iowa.
