Here is a pdf version of the presentation I made at our conference. I've had to compress the pictures, etc., so that it will fit within the discussion forum limits. Most of the photos in the presentation are my own, but not all (e.g., the Indian ones and the ones of the Dalai Lama). So -- you are free to use this presentation with your own students (please let me know how they react), but do not share it with colleagues or otherwise distribute it. Thank you.
Do your students understand Buddhism? Do they understand why it may have been difficult to win converts in China and elsewhere in East Asia? Are there Buddhist temples in your community that they might visit?
