I hope that I am posting in the right section.... Anyhow:

My father has knowingly broken the law. I am saddened to hear this, but not surprised. Man is sinful by nature and has to be taught how to be good. As a Mohist, I believe in "universal love." I am not to show any partiality to anyone, not even my father! I treat everyone with respect (whether they are my parents or not.) Therefore, I believe that my father should not recieve any special treatment from me and should "serve his time."

I hope I am posting in the right section as well...MOHISTS

If I knew my father KNOWINGLY broke the law, I believe he should face the consequences. Shielding my father from taking responsibility for his actions shows partiality, a weak characteristic that is wrong and potentially harmful to the state. I believe in universal love and not the willingness to hurt others to benefit my own family. The latter supports the idea that family, indeed, can be the source of corruption. Everyone should be treated equally, whether it comes to love, or on the same token, consequence.
