Few things can command attention like a good, powerful photograph. I stumbled across this website and really enjoy creating my own stories from the photos prior to reading the captions and the descriptions of the photos. It is a fun and enjoyable pastime of my to make up stories from photographs and to allow my mind to speculate. The same mental exercise can be used with your students before a lesson in predicting and critical thinking prior to a lesson. It is great that this website is created by a reliable source, the Getty center for education. They have a large archive of photos and I would presume that their exhibitions will change from time to time.
