There were couple of teachers studied some Chinese before we went to China. They told me it's been very helpful and useful for them on the trip. I also been teaching them some basic Chinese, I have found they can picked up faster than others. I think it's a good idea for us to study the language or knowing more about the history, culture of the country before go on the trip.
