I came across this website because I was researching Chinese stamps/seals. I thought that it would be a great start to a ceramic or painting class. Having students create their own seals in clay or wood to sign their artwork. The website I found was the Chinese Online Museum, http://www.comuseum.com, where they have history and photographs of China’s Bronzes cast by Shang, Zhou, Qin, and Han Dynasty. Chinese Calligraphy, Paintings, Ceramics, Jade and Carvings. This website would be great to use as a resource for teaching any of the categories above. It gives the viewer a brief history and examples of every type. As a teacher I can use this website for PowerPoints and images. For my students, they can use it as reference, resources and inspiration. I especially like that there are a lot of visual photographs that I could use in class for my Art 1, Art 2, or AP Art Class.
