Thanks for the tip, I love bamboo and this exhibition is right up my alley. I make flutes, baskets, arrows, bows, walking sticks, trellises and other crafts from bamboo. I'm even growing my own bamboo to have a ready access. This exhibit seems
more contemporary but should still be interesting. I find all things bamboo interesting.

FYI -Bowers Museum, exhibition: Modern Twist: Contemporary Japanese Bamboo Art, from September 19, 2015- January 3, 2016

Wanted to share in case someone is interested in attending the Contemporary Japanese Bamboo Art exhibition at the Bowers Museum.
This a traveling exhibition that's going through some US cities.
I will be interesting to go see this type of art work. I watched a show about bamboo art and crafts in Japan. I cannot recall the name of the town where this type of work is done. Now I wish I had taken notes. It was very interesting because the people who do this type of art are masters. They are first apprentice who work for a master craft man, then after years of practice, they themselves become master of the craft. It was a very interesting show.
