This is a 5 day lesson plan which includes powerpoint presentations, outlines, and pictures. The notes are mostly taken from Chapter 7 of my textbook which titled "World History: Medieval and Early Modern Times" by McDougal Littell 2006. I found it very difficult to create a 3 day lesson plan when China is so fascinating to me now I could spent a month just talking about it.
Anyway, feel free to modify any of the worksheets that I created. In making them I was focused specifically on the needs of my students within my classroom. You might find a strategy that works best for your students. I used the Direct Interactive Instruction (D.I.I.) structure for my lesson plans and Powerpoint Presentations. The power points include the standard, objectives, academic vocabulary and summary questions at the end of each lesson.
All of my students are required to take Cornell Notes which include a summary at the end. At the end of each lesson I ask that students use key terms from the chapter in their summaries. They usually highlight the key terms for me so that they are easy for me to grade. Enjoy!
