I liked this website because if I want to read about current events from East Asia, I can go to this forum and there are a lot of current topics affecting East Asian countries. What I also found is that it goes beyond from just East Asian countries to other countries around the world that have any connection with Asian countries mainly through business or economic connections.
This site would be good for quick write about current affairs in East Asia! I would also use it for whole class discussion about any of the current topics on the forum and have students discuss it and analyze the event. The use in the classroom can be endless!
I came across this website which has recent important topics that are happening in East Asia. The topics vary and are from the all East Asia Countries. Mainly China and Japan. But I read one of the articles and it was not from just East Asia, it was from Mexico. It compared a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project that Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto is trying to pass in Mexico to one that Japan's prime minister Shinzō Abe passed in Japan in 2014 called National Strategic Special Zones (NSSZs). In the Mexican SEZ, the president's plan is to bring manufacturing companies from abroad to come to Mexico and create jobs that pay well and invest in the most poor states in Mexico. By coming to Mexico, these companies and investors will get relaxed taxation and regulations in order for them to create employment and better quality of life in these poor states.
