The morning was lovely and the lunch was delicious!

I had been to the Huntington Gardens before but never received a tour. The tour guide really helped immerse us into the experience and culture of each garden.

And the lunch was such a pleasure. Thank you to Miranda and Clay for organizing such a great day!

The Huntington Gardens and Library was a great way to take a field trip. I really enjoyed going together as a group to see the two different kinds of gardens and comparing the two. Unfortunately I felt like our tour guide was not very knowledgeable about the gardens. I would have appreciated more detailed information about the origins and history of the building of the gardens. I visited the Huntington 10 years ago and I do not recall them existing. My favorite part was the amazing rock in the Chinese garden.

Lunch was fantastic. I have never had Korean food before. All these dishes kept coming and we had to figure out what was in them. That was all part of the fun of the experience! I really enjoyed the vermicelli like noodles and the pumpkin soup.

This day makes me realize that I should definitely add landscape and food into my unit on Asia. What a wonderful day! Thank you so much for taking us out!

Trip to the gardens stayed with me as a very powerful peek into the culture of Japan and China. I did not realize the cultural wealth that these gardens offered. It almost felt like I was physically in east asia. I could feel the aura of meditation in the Japan garden and the magic of China's love for learning and philosophy in the china garden!

    Hello everyone,

Here are some pictures of Huntington Library, USC, and some of you, the participants. I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw through my camera lense.
