Heart disease is increasing in young and middle-aged Chinese. Like the US, the primary cause is thought to be obesity obesity.

Medical research suggests that it is urgent to take effective measures to prevent it within the first few years of a child's life, China Daily reported on August 3.

Overworked young and middle aged people are not scheduling check ups and exercise.
Some of these people were infants or young children during a time of poor nutrition (1960's) compounding the problem because of poor nutrition in early development.

In addition to obesity, the particulate matter (PM) recognized worldwide as a cause of respiratory and cardiovascular health problems, is quite high in regions of China, exascerbating other risk factors such as obesity, lack of exercise and being"too busy" to go for a check up

FYI just as antioxidant foods are good fo our hearts, these fine particles are oxidative by products, that at their smallest can pass right through the lungs and into the bloodstream. causing oxidative damage that leads to plaque formation.

Interesting how many Western health problems were imported or increased by capitalism.
