Hi there fellow teachers! My name is Leticia Garcia, and I'm a 4th grade teacher at Ascot Elementary School in South Los Angeles. I'm here to learn more about East Asian cultures and have so far thoroughly enjoyed the past two sessions. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you on this forum. I've never left this continent but have travelled extensively throughout Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize for the past twelve years. I've also lived in British Columbia and travel there once a year to visit my native friends.

Hi! I teach high school ESL at Birmingham High School. I have students of many different cultures and nationalities so I am excited to learn more East Asia. I am particularly interested in the Asian reverence for education which I now know probably has its roots in Confucianism. I would love to know how many students ditch class in China or Korea!
