GuestHello, I'm Isabel Gonzalez and I currently teach at El Sereno Middle School for LAUSD. I teach 6th grade Ancient History, 7th grade World History, and 8th grade U.S. History. My students have special needs, their disabilities range from ADHD, Autism, or Mild MR. Despite their challenges, we still follow the state standards and learn everything that the regular population is learning, our content is just modified. I am interested in Asian studies because my units on Asia lack depth and are very limited. I hope to enrich both my personal knowledge and take this back into my classroom.

GuestMy name is Paul Perez and I teach music at The East Los Angeles Performing Arts Academy at Esteban E. Torres High School. I have always been interested in World History and I have always enjoyed Asian films, food and music. I enjoyed the seminar. I found Clay's lectures to be interesting and informative. I enjoyed the guest lecturers as well. Each session gave me ideas of current events discussions in which I frequently engaged my students with in the days following each session.

GuestI think I posted this in the wrong place. My name is Karina Quezada, I teach World History and Advanced Placement European History to 10th graders at Marc and Eva Stern Math and Science School. I have been teaching for 6 years and really love what I teach. I took the Asia seminar because I feel like I often overlook the continent when teaching my course. I hope to incorporate what I have learned into more of my lessons.

GuestMy name is Nicole Guillen. I am the AP English Language and Composition teacher at Alliance Marc and Eva Stern Math and Science School. I am finishing up my 4th year teaching. I took this seminar because I wanted to learn more about East Asian history. While I've taken a class on Asian-American literature, my knowledge of contemporary East Asia and East Asian history were quite limited prior to taking the course. I'm thrilled with all I've learned!
