In our text "East Asia A Cultural, Social, and Political History" one can find a great or really an exact duplication of Egyptian burial Art. There really isn't that much difference in all cultures in the past and the cultures that exist today. Every human has the same needs in spite of who they are or where they came from. In looking in a historical book of the past, everyone really has the same basic needs. Sure there are some slight observable differences but in reality there is really not that much difference.
I came to this conclusion as I looked in the above stated text and tried to write something about their burial practices. It came to me that we are basically a lot alike. Everyone has their Art, Religion, Rituals, and Beliefs. We're really all the same but placed in different locations that may cause some differences.
When I looked at pictures of Hunting scenes, Woman Dancers, and even vases that come from Chinese tombs they all had the same common characteristics. [Edit by="sshorter on Jan 12, 5:34:09 PM"][/Edit]

The more people differ the more alike we are is such a very true thing to say, because as I read on page 255 and 253 of ANTHOLOGY OF JAPANESE LITERATURE, it tells of rituals, religion and also speak of Thanksgiving services. Poetry is another aspect that is shared in many culture used as a vehicle to express a person's deep feelings.
