I like this article. It would be a good article to share with my students in the study of the honor code in societies: the samurai in Japan. King Arthur in England. Christ...Buddha.

I didn't realize that I was more fascinated with the Samurai culture than I thought. I came across an article that discussed the origins of the Yakuza (similar to a Japanese mafia) during the Tokugawa era. The Yakuza is compared to as the modern day Samurais. As according to the article, the "Yakuza have always prided themselves upon the code of bushido, or way of the samurai.."
