    Directed by Kwak Kyungtaek
This film is about a S. Korean Boxer, Deuk Gu Kim portrayed Yu Oh-seong.
Kim was S. Korea's most popular boxer. He faced Ray Mancini in the ring in Las Vegas in 1982. He went 14 rounds and fell into a comma and never recovered. His fate changed boxing rules around the world. I found this to be a most important historic film.

The korean film, the way home is an excellent film and has much material that can be used in the classroom, especially with the middle grades. See my comments under, The Way Home, in the summer 08 seminar section.

    Korean film, Inbetween Days,

This is a very quiet and intropective kind of film as a displaced and depressed Korean teenager moves throughout her day with the use of her cell phone, and male pal that she painfull loves. The love is not mutual and her friend takes advantage of her continuing contact in his life base on his convenience. He seems to be more interested in the Americanized Korean girls he meets.
Check this movie out, don't expect martial arts.
The main character is Aimie played by Jiseon Kim.
This film won an award in the Sundance film festival in 2006
