When I am teaching about Japan’s interaction with the West, I will show this clip I found on youtube. I know The Last Samurai is not a great film nor historically accurate (see article at http://www.willamette.edu/~rloftus/LastSamurai.htm). However, I did find this video that someone put together, which is a montage of clips set to beautiful music. It’s basically a home-made trailer. I show it because of the samurai attire and to illustrate aspects of the Code of Bushido.
